Oculus

An eye study done as a "speed paint" (at least a speed paint when compared to most of my oil paintings).  I photographed my wife's eyes with my phone and a 10x eye loupe, then photo-shopped a photo of her right eye over a crazed white porcelain door knob as my reference.  Didn't bother to sketch much on the canvas other than a few reference circles before starting to paint.  This was done mostly on June 18, 2016 with reds/oranges, touch-up, and signature added on June 19th for my entry into #MadeWithMichaels  My wife has always wanted to go to London and I figured her eye was a good subject for a contest to win a trip to London to paint for a gallery & tour the city.
