My Bio
I have been drawing since I was a kid. I loved working in color pencils until I discovered oil pastels and then oil paints in high school. Most of my family has oil paintings of my landscapes- which used to be my favorite to paint.

I was always enamored with computers- writing my own software and developing my own devices (or modifying circuits to suit my tastes). Despite my art teacher's pleadings- I majored in computer science at college. I originally wanted to do game design work, but then I changed majors and completed two engineering degrees (Electrical Engineering Technology and Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology). In fact, my day job is a R & D Engineer where I figure out how to make new ideas work and be sure they can be manufactured.

I remember being amazed at a digital painting that was done on a computer in the early 1980s...a beautiful painting of a redhead was featured in one of my computer magazines. I had my parents buy me a digital drawing tablet and some software for my Atari 800XL...but I was never happy with its abilities nor mine. I later played with Photoshop 2.0 in the 1990s and was still disappointed. I started using GIMP and Photoshop Elements in the 2000s...and they work decently. I really found my favorite program when I started using Black Ink in 2014. Although Mischief is a great program as well.

Now that I've moved into the digital age- I'm still trying to show my oil paint style of building up layers and shadows/texture in my digital paintings, but I'm also trying to expand more into concept/textural explorations and science fiction. I would love a painting published on a Magic the Gathering card, book, or CD. In fact...I would love to write a book or screenplay as well.

My beautiful & talented wife has a part time business and works in stained glass (Dalmas Glass Designs on Facebook or www.dalmasglassdesigns.com). I help her with the patterns and being a general assistant. She also gives me suggestions and encouragement when I'm stuck on a project.

And as you can see from my favorites tab- I am still enamored with red hair.

Well it's been a humdinger of a year for everyone. Finally took the time to upload my last water color of a tough little fish- I thought it fit well. We all have to be a little tougher now. Stay safe. -Elario

I won't even bother putting a month on this update- I know better. :) Well- work has been insanely busy.  We had an emotional roller coaster again at Christmas last year- though not as long as Samuel.  Her name was Mary Louise- we didn't get to meet her, but she's with her big brother Samuel in heaven.  I know I'll get to meet her some day. Been working on a bit of art and a lot of 3D printing.  Hoping to get to sculpting 3D pieces from scratch yet.  I've mostly been doing modifications to other pieces to make them my own. -Elario "There is no footprint so small that it does not leave an imprint on this world"

Wow time has flown by once again.  Working on some paintings and 3D prints. I just had an arts and crafts show at Pennypacker Mills- sold some 3D prints.  I'm finding which shows do better for some art prints and which shows will do better with my 3D prints.  Also working on some 3D printed lithiophanes of my artwork.
